Tulare County Office of Education

 New Teacher Development (NTD), housed at Tulare County Office of Education, operates the IMPACT Intern Teacher Preparation Program and the California Teacher Recruitment Program. The IMPACT Intern Program prepares teachers for elementary, secondary, and special education settings, while the California Teacher Recruitment Program assists with the placement of teachers at local school districts. NTD provides services for candidates interested in CSET preparation, verification process for special settings, and the autism spectrum disorder authorization.

Program Highlights:
  • Earn your credential while you attend class in the evening and earn a teacher's salary during the day

  • All instructors are practitioners in the field

  • Specialized mentoring support

  • Implement theory in school-based fieldwork

  • Receive assistance with job search and placement
