Education Specialist Instruction Credential - Moderate / Severe Disabilities
Eligibility Requirements
- Full-time teaching position with one of our participating districts in a special education setting
- CBEST Passing Score
- Subject matter competency
- Fingerprinting clearance
- U.S. Constitution requirement
- Prerequisite course, Framework for Teaching, offered by TCOE.

Teaching Practicum
In year one and year two, it is the expectation that skills and knowledge gained in the coursework be directly applied to classroom teaching. A Practicum Supervisor works one-on-one with each intern to facilitate this process.
